>BROXING< contacts designed for THT soldering technology combine the advantages of soldered and screw connections. This technology represents a practical choice for PCBs that have already undergone wave soldering processes, with rated currents not exceeding 170A.

The key strengths of these >BROXING< connections are:

• Visual inspection of the solder joint: the solder rises above the hole, forming a solder meniscus;
• Presence of a thermal trap: a specially designed shoulder allows the contact to be slightly lifted from the PCB;
• Reduced mass: less thermal energy is required during the soldering process;
  Torsion resistance: the pin geometry increases the breaking torque.
• PCB layout consistency with Pressfit technology: in most contacts, the PowerClamps measures 6×6 mm with a 10×10 mm base. This makes the transition from the soldered version to the pressfit version easy to implement.
